What shape should my images be?

Quick answer: Landscape (2 x 1). Long answer: 1024x512 is the size for a snug fit (on desktop) - but other sizes and dimensions are fine also. 1024x512 is recommended by Twitter but we have found that 897x500 is a good size, as it works on desktop and most tablets, including the iPad, without any cropping. In fact, some images that are cropped and require a click to reveal more could actually increase user engagement. We suggest that you try different image sizes to see what works best for you.
