What happens if I post a link to another site?

You will only receive reports on how your post fared on Twitter - Beacon won’t be able to report on website traffic to the third party website. You might want to consider linking to a blog post (or similar) on your own website which then links back to the third party website, so at least you generate the valuable website traffic for yourself and Beacon can report on that.
